Exploring Berchidda
“Exploring Berchidda” is a three-days excursion that starts from Isola Rossa to arrive in Berchidda passing through Aggius and Tempio Pausania, with scheduled stops in some refreshment points.
Along the way we will meet the butterfly garden which is located in the South Limbara State Forest. Born to protect a rich and varied entomological heritage, it allows us to enjoy many species of rare butterflies.
We will then reach the S’Unchinu canyon to admire the “Su Pisciale” waterfalls in a cork oak forest, among arbutus and myrtle, which are very beautiful as they form several jumps and natural pools.
Finally, a day will be dedicated to Berchidda, a small Gallura gem rich in history and unspoiled nature, known for its food and wine, its medieval castle and “Time in Jazz“, an internationally renowned jazz event.
On the third day we will return to Isola Rossa, and as on the first day we will stop at a refreshment point along the way.
“Exploring Berchidda” is the ideal excursion for those wishing to get to know the heart of Gallura and its unspoilt gems.
